“In October 2007 my wife and I purchased property in the Murphy, North Carolina area and were contemplating having a home constructed on the property. This would be our first experience in building a home. We met with several builders and viewed homes they had constructed. We did not feel comfortable or confident in what we saw. Then we were contacted by Bill Berg of Berg Mountain Homes and visited several homes that Bill had under construction. Both my wife and I were impressed with what we saw. In particular we were impressed with the quality of construction and the attention to details that the Berg’s implemented in the construction of their homes.

Bill Berg visited our property and advised us on the optimum use of the property in relation to the home we were thinking about selecting. Bill Berg promised us that if chosen, "he would build our home like it was his".

In March of 2008 we entered into a contract with Berg Mountain Homes to construct a 1800 square foot chalet based on a Berg design we had seen. Construction began shortly thereafter. The original contract called for an unfinished basement. Half way through the project my wife and I decided that we wanted the basement finished with a half bath installed. The Berg’s took this in stride. During the construction there were some other changes that the Bergs addressed in the same manner.

Our home was completed, as promised, in November. During the walk through there were some minor punch list items that were taken care of. Since then, there have been a few minor warranty items that again were addressed in a timely manner.

Our experience with Berg Mountain Homes has been positive and I recommend Berg Mountain Homes with confidence”.
